Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior/Principal Engineer to join the drainage team working on highway and development projects. You will assist the Drainage Associate Director, deliver drainage design, assessments and approvals, and lead project delivery with budget and resource planning.

You will develop the team, manage client relationships, and represent the company externally at senior levels while delivering multiple projects in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated civil engineering experience in a consultancy.
• Experience in surface/waste water drainage design and approvals.
• Proficiency with Sewers for Adoption, Sewers for Scotland and related design guides.
• Experience leading projects and managing budgets.
• Ability to mentor junior engineers and lead teams.

Responsibilities

• Oversee financial, technical and project management control of drainage projects.
• Delegate to, manage and direct engineers and technicians.
• Develop and supervise junior engineers in the team.
• Produce and deliver technical packages and applications.
• Coordinate with other disciplines and represent the business to clients.
• Lead and manage projects, ensuring time, cost and quality targets are met.
• Conduct site visits and monitor works against specifications.
