Job summary

Our engineering client near Eastleigh is looking for a 2D draftsperson with experience in sheet metal and steel fabrication to support the Architectural Design department on UK and Europe projects. In-house training will be provided on company procedures, document management and standard products.

Key duties include drawing, updating and maintaining designs, producing CAD models and drawings, and creating Bills of Materials.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar field.
• Experience with sheet metal and steel fabrication.
• Proficient in 2D CAD using Autodesk AutoCAD.
• Ability to produce CAD models, BOMs and detailed drawings.

Responsibilities

• Draw, update, and maintain designs.
• Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Ensure designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer requirements.
• Produce CAD models and drawings.
• Create Bills of Materials / Parts Lists.

Our engineering client (near Eastleigh) is currently looking for a 2D draftsperson - The ideal candidate will have experience of working with sheet metal / steel fabrication. The role will be working within the Architectural Design department, covering a wide range of products and varied projects in the UK and Europe. In-house training will be given in company procedures, document management and standard products.

Responsibilities

• Draw, update, and maintain designs
• Manage multiple complex projects at the same time
• Ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer Responsibilities
• Producing CAD models and drawings.
• Creating Bills of Materials / Parts Lists.
• Detail drawings for manufacture in UK and Europe.
• Upkeep of project documentation and drawing revisions.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills / experience

• Experienced Cad Draftsperson.
• 2d Autodesk and AutoCAD.
• Sheet Metal, Steel Fabrication, Special Purpose Machinery
• Minimum 5 years' experience within a similar field or role (preferred)

Hours

Monday to Thursday 8-30am to 5-15pm

Friday 8-30am to 1-00 pm.

Salary

£38,000p/a - £45,000p/a
