Job summary

A leading architectural firm in London is seeking a Draughtsman to produce accurate technical drawings for bespoke steel and metalwork projects. A leading architectural metalwork and structural steel company in London, specialising in the design, fabrication, and installation of bespoke steel and metalwork projects is currently looking for a draughtsman to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing accurate technical drawings and fabrication details for a wide range of architectural metalwork and structural steel projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed 2D and 3D CAD drawings for fabrication and installation.
• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to develop shop drawings.
• Work closely with the design, fabrication, and project management teams.
• Ensure all drawings are compliant with industry standards and project specifications.
• Manage revisions and updates to drawings as required.
• Liaise with architects, engineers, and contractors to resolve technical queries.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Draughtsman in architectural metalwork and/or structural steel (preferred).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (3D knowledge beneficial).
• Strong knowledge of fabrication and installation processes.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural/structural drawings.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must have the right to work in the UK – no sponsorship is available for this role.
