Job summary

Latitude Recruitment is seeking a 2D Draftsperson near Eastleigh for our engineering client. The role falls in the Architectural Design department, covering UK and Europe projects with in-house training on procedures and document management.

The ideal candidate has experience with sheet metal and steel fabrication, 2D Autodesk/AutoCAD, and a strong track record in drafting for manufacturing environments. Office hours are Monday to Thursday and Friday half-day, with a competitive salary and

Qualifications

• Experienced Cad Draftsperson with 2D CAD and AutoCAD skills.
• Sheet metal and steel fabrication experience preferred.
• Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar role (preferred).

• Producing CAD models and drawings.
• Creating Bills of Materials / Parts Lists.

Job description

Our engineering client (near Eastleigh) is currently looking for a 2D draftsperson - The ideal candidate will have experience of working with sheet metal / steel fabrication. The role will be working within the Architectural Design department, covering a wide range of products and varied projects in the UK and Europe. In-house training will be given in company procedures, document management and standard products.

Responsibilities

• Draw, update, and maintain designs
• Manage multiple complex projects at the same time
• Ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer Responsibilities

• Detail drawings for manufacture in UK and Europe.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills / experience

• Experienced Cad Draftsperson.
• 2d Autodesk and AutoCAD.
• Sheet Metal, Steel Fabrication, Special Purpose Machinery
• Minimum 5 years' experience within a similar field or role (preferred)

Hours

Monday to Thursday 8-30am to 5-15pm

Friday 8-30am to 1-00 pm.

Salary

£38,000p/a - £45,000p/a

Additional benefits:

• 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
• After 5 years of service, holiday will increase to 30 days plus bank holidays.
