Job summary

Latitude Recruitment seeks a skilled CAD Draftsperson for an engineering client in the Southampton area. The role focuses on drawing, updating and maintaining designs for sheet metal and steel fabrication, with responsibility for CAD models, drawings and BOMs across UK and Europe.

Ideal candidates will have 2D Autodesk/AutoCAD proficiency and at least five years’ experience in a similar field, with a track record of delivering multiple complex projects and documentation control.

Qualifications

• Experienced CAD Draftsperson with strong 2D design skills.
• Experience with sheet metal and steel fabrication.
• Knowledge of special purpose machinery is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Draw, update, and maintain designs.
• Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Ensure designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer requirements.
• Produce CAD models and drawings.
• Create Bills of Materials / Parts Lists.

Our engineering client is currently looking for a 2D draftsperson - The ideal candidate will have experience of working with sheet metal / steel fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Draw, update, and maintain designs
• Manage multiple complex projects at the same time
• Ensure our designs meet manufacturing, technical and customer Responsibilities
• Producing CAD models and drawings.
• Creating Bills of Materials / Parts Lists.
• Detail drawings for manufacture in UK and Europe.
• Upkeep of project documentation and drawing revisions.

The ideal candidate will have the following skills / experience

• Experienced Cad Draftsperson.
• 2d Autodesk and AutoCAD.
• Sheet Metal, Steel Fabrication, Special Purpose Machinery
• Minimum 5 years’ experience within a similar field or role (preferred)

Hours

Monday to Thursday 8-30am to 5-15pm

Friday 8-30am to 1-00 pm.

Salary

£38,000p/a - £45,000p/a
