Job summary

OCU Group is seeking an experienced Senior Document Controller to lead and shape its Document Control team across major energy projects in the Stockport area. The role drives compliant information management, governance of CDEs, and adherence to contractual requirements throughout the project lifecycle.

You will implement ISO 19650-2, coordinate with project management, engineering, design, construction, quality and commercial teams, and ensure accurate, traceable project information management

Qualifications

• Five years' document control experience within construction, energy, engineering or infrastructure projects.
• Strong knowledge of registers, revision control, transmittals and handover processes.
• Experience using EDMS such as Viewpoint, Aconex, ASITE, SharePoint or ACC.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and strong stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage and develop the Document Control team, setting expectations and coaching.
• Manage workloads and resources across projects to meet deadlines.
• Embed ISO 19650-2 requirements across live projects and governance.
• Oversee information management systems and CDE governance.
• Ensure processes comply with ISO 9001 and contractual obligations.
• Oversee registration, review, distribution, revision control and transmittals.
• Monitor performance, generate reports and drive data quality improvements.
• Collaborate with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
