Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal, a global consulting firm, is seeking a Director/Senior Director for SPA advisory in the EMEA region. Locations include London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds.

You will lead end‑to‑end SPA engagements, delivering expert advisory on financial and strategic SPA implications, and support business development across the practice. You will manage client relationships, guide negotiations on purchase price and SPA terms, and collaborate with peers to ensure high‑quality service

Qualifications

• Demonstrated SPA delivery experience across pre‑ and post‑deal phases.
• Excellent written and verbal communication with strong interpersonal skills.
• Leadership experience and ability to thrive in high‑performing teams.
• Adaptability in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience with AI tools and advanced data analysis is a plus.
• Strong academic background and professional credentials such as ACA, CPA, or equivalent.
• Fluent business‑level English; additional European languages are desirable (Dutch, French, German, Italian, Spanish, or Swedish).

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advisory on financial and strategic implications of SPA documents.
• Assist clients in negotiating key financial elements of purchase price and SPA terms.
• Conduct in‑depth financial analysis to inform transaction and purchase‑price decisions.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and deliver tailored SPA solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Lead end‑to‑end SPA advisory engagements with excellence.
• Support business development and market awareness of A&M’s SPA services practice.
• Drive learning and development for junior team members.
• Support creation and enhancement of resources, tools, and standards for the EMEA SPA team.
• Champion the use of AI in SPA advisory engagements.
