Job summary

Grant Thornton UK LLP is seeking a SPA Associate Director to lead and own a portfolio of sale and purchase agreement engagements for corporates, private equity and investors, across multiple sectors. You’ll manage client relationships at board level, coach junior colleagues and oversee deliverables and budgets with a clear commercial focus.

Minimum criteria include ACA/ICAS/CA/ACCA or CIPFA with post-qualification experience in transactions advisory (3–5 years).

Qualifications

• ACA/ICAS/CA/ACCA or CIPFA with post-qualification transaction advisory experience (3–5 years).
• Experience in transactions/deals including financial aspects of SPAs.
• Strong understanding of completion mechanisms and net debt/working capital adjustments.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of SPA advisory engagements and client relationships at board level.
• Lead, motivate, and coach managers and junior team members on technical aspects of transactions.
• Oversee deliverables, budgets, and fees; manage risk and client expectations.
