Job summary

Alvarez & Marsal (A&M) is a global consulting firm delivering SPA advisory services across the EMEA region, supporting both pre‑deal and post‑deal work to maximise value for clients. The team operates across London, Birmingham, Manchester and Leeds, providing dedicated SPA solutions.

We are seeking Directors / Senior Directors to lead end‑to‑end SPA engagements, manage client relationships, drive business development, and advance the use of AI tools to enhance analysis and outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering SPA services covering pre‑ and post‑deal phases.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong interpersonal abilities.
• Leadership experience in a high‑performing team environment.
• Adaptability to a fast‑paced, dynamic setting.
• ACA, CPA or equivalent credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert advisory on the financial and strategic implications of SPA documents.
• Negotiate key financial elements of purchase price and SPA terms.
• Conduct in‑depth financial analysis to inform transaction and purchase‑price decisions.
• Manage and maintain client relationships, delivering tailored SPA solutions.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery.
• Lead end‑to‑end SPA advisory engagements with excellence.
• Support business development and market awareness of A&M’s SPA services practice.
• Drive learning and development for junior team members.
• Support creation and enhancement of resources, tools, and standards for the EMEA SPA team.
• Champion the use of AI in SPA engagements.
