Job summary

Mersey West Lancashire NHS Trust is seeking a senior HR leader to shape the future of people services. You will lead transformation, drive digital enablement and deliver an ambitious People Strategy.

You will work with the Chief People Officer and senior stakeholders to build capability, improve outcomes for staff and patients, and foster an inclusive culture across a large, complex NHS organisation.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level and/or equivalent qualification.
• MCIPD professional registration.
• Master’s degree in HR Management or related qualification and/or equivalent experience.
• Postgraduate qualification in specialist area e.g. leadership or equivalent experience.
• Evidence of CPD.
• Formal training in organisational change, system leadership or coaching.

Responsibilities

• Shape the future of people services at Mersey & West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
• Lead a portfolio of people services, drive transformational change, develop organisational capability and deliver a modern, digitally enabled and experience-led function.
• Work alongside senior leaders to deliver the People Strategy and improve performance.
• Build high-performing teams, lead change at scale and ensure continuous improvement.
• Provide strategic advice and challenge to Executive Directors on complex workforce issues.
