Job summary

Mersey & West Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is seeking an exceptional leader to join our senior leadership team as Assistant Chief People Officer. The role offers 37.5 hours per week with hybrid working and frequent travel across sites including Whiston, Ormskirk and Southport.

You will shape the future of people services, drive transformational change and deliver a modern, digitally enabled workforce function.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level and/or equivalent qualification
• MCIPD professional registration
• Master’s degree in HR Management or related qualification and / or equivalent experience
• Postgraduate qualification in specialist area e.g. leadership or equivalent experience
• Evidence of CPD
• Formal training in organisational change, system leadership or coaching

Responsibilities

• As Assistant Chief People Officer, you will shape the future of people services, delivering a modern, digitally enabled, experience-led function
• You will lead transformation, drive performance, and build high-performing teams across the directorate
• You will provide strategic advice to Executive Directors and senior leaders on complex workforce issues
