Job summary

IQVIA, the Human Data Science Company, seeks a Director of Business Development to lead strategic growth for Clinical Solutions in the EMEA region. You will drive multi-year partnerships, shape complex solution sales, and position IQVIA’s RDS capabilities as a catalyst for innovation in drug development.

You will develop accounts, lead cross-functional teams, and deliver sustained revenue growth across pharmaceutical customers and opportunities within the EMEA market.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of business development experience in Clinical Research Organizations.
• Proven success in managing and growing strategic accounts within mid-size pharma.
• Strong understanding of global clinical development, regulatory pathways, and therapeutic area dynamics.
• Executive presence with excellent communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and drive cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Achieve individual annual sales targets across the IQVIA offering to meet TCV quotas.
• Maintain in-depth knowledge of IQVIA services for cross-sell opportunities.
• Actively prospect and leverage potential new business within target accounts.
• Establish and execute a comprehensive sales plan for each account.
• Cultivate long-term relationships with key decision-makers and understand customer organizations.
• Network within the industry to identify opportunities and stay ahead of competition.
• Monitor leads and opportunities to maintain a robust pipeline.
• Analyze opportunities and develop sales strategies for each customer.
• Coordinate with contracts and proposals to develop compelling proposals.
