The ideal candidate understands the balance between creativity and relevance, earning links that both generate brand awareness and help position us in front of our target customers, helping to increase leads.

BusinessWaste.co.uk helps businesses with all their commercial waste needs, supporting waste collections, providing legal and regulatory advice, and helping businesses reduce their environmental impact.

About the role

We’re looking for someone with proven experience in Digital PR , ideally you’ll have plenty of experience crafting stand-out press releases, writing expert-led commentary and building media lists with relevance in mind.

We’re looking for someone who understands that B2B industries need to be just as creative and attention grabbing, so you’ll need to have a keen eye for trends and newsworthy hooks, and be happy to experiment with ideas.

It’s important you have a background knowledge of SEO , backlinks, and Digital PR best practices so you can work strategically to reach our commercial goals.

Our wider team is full of passionate and driven individuals, and our ideal candidate will bring a positive attitude and be comfortable becoming an ambassador for our brand both internally and while building relationships with key press contacts.

We’re open to those from either in-house or agency backgrounds, and we’re happy to hear from those already in a senior position, or executives looking to take the next step.

Alongside our main website, there are also opportunities to work on our other brands in the health and safety, medical, and construction sectors.

Required:

• Understanding of SEO best practices for Digital PR
• Comfortable working with B2B audiences
• The ability to independently draft engaging press releases
• Confidence engaging with press and media
• Experience creating relevant and targeted media lists that get results
• Ability to bring unique and creative ideas to life
• Strong media, news, and pop culture awareness
• Strong organisational and admin skills
• Experience working on waste management topics or similar
