Job summary
Octane Recruitment Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join a busy main dealership in Liverpool. You will carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics, fault-finding, and electronic health checks using manufacturer tools to identify issues and complete repairs to standards.
The role requires Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair and a Full UK Driving Licence; MOT tester license is desirable.
Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair (NVQ or equivalent).
- Strong automotive diagnostic experience in a main dealership or busy workshop.
- Confident using diagnostic equipment and interpreting technical data.
Responsibilities
- Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault-finding.
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical and electronic faults.
- Use manufacturer diagnostic equipment and systems to identify vehicle issues.
- Complete repairs to manufacturer standards.
- Support Vehicle Technicians with technical guidance and complex repairs.
- Carry out electronic vehicle health checks (EVHC) and identify additional work.
- Accurately complete diagnostic reports, job cards and repair documentation.
