Job summary
Octane Recruitment Ltd in Birmingham is seeking an experienced Diagnostic Technician to join a busy main dealership workshop. You will perform advanced diagnostics, fault finding and repairs, using modern diagnostic equipment and systems.
A Level 3 qualification is required, with maintenance, electrical fault-finding skills, and strong teamwork within a service-focused environment. Hours are flexible with paid overtime including Saturdays.
Qualifications
- Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair or equivalent.
- Strong diagnostic experience within automotive workshop environments.
- Experience with electrical fault finding and diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Carry out advanced vehicle diagnostics and fault finding.
- Diagnose complex electrical and mechanical faults.
- Use modern diagnostic equipment and technical systems.
- Complete servicing, maintenance and repairs to required standards.
- Support other Vehicle Technicians with technical issues.
- Carry out electronic vehicle health checks.
- Record diagnostic findings and completed repairs accurately.
- Work closely with Service Advisors and the wider workshop team.
