Job summary

NEC Software Solutions is seeking a Head of DevOps to provide technical leadership across cloud infrastructure, platform engineering and automation. You will stay hands-on and shape our DevOps practice, delivering secure, scalable and cost-effective infrastructure for production platforms.

You will manage AWS and Azure, write Terraform, operate CircleCI pipelines and Kubernetes platforms, and collaborate with engineering, security and product teams to drive reliable production outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Own/aws and Azure infrastructure and set security, reliability, scalability, cost and resource use standards with cross-functional teams.
• Write and maintain Terraform modules, manage state/environments, and deploy changes via code and controlled processes.
• Develop and maintain CircleCI pipelines with secret detection, SBOM, dependency and container scanning, and supply-chain controls.
• Operate production Kubernetes platforms with Argo CD, Helm and container tooling for deployment, upgrades and troubleshooting.
• Monitor availability, performance and resources; improve metrics, logs, dashboards and alerts; lead incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Maintain and test backup, resilience and disaster-recovery arrangements using Python or Bash to reduce repetitive work.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews and hands-on problem solving; share responsibility and avoid single points of failure.
• Run spikes to evaluate changes and bridge engineering, security, product and business considerations.
