Job summary

NEC Software Solutions is seeking a senior DevOps leader to guide cloud infrastructure, platform engineering and automation across UK and Pune capabilities. You will stay hands-on in delivery, driving production reliability, security and cost efficiency.

You will design scalable infrastructure, evolve CI/CD, and mentor engineers while partnering with engineering, security and product teams to deliver robust, observable platforms.

Qualifications

• Experience running production cloud infrastructure in AWS and/or Azure.
• Experience building reusable Terraform modules and managing remote state across environments.
• Production Kubernetes experience including deployments, upgrades and troubleshooting.
• Experience implementing CI/CD and DevSecOps controls.
• Strong scripting in Python or Bash and automation experience.

Responsibilities

• Own AWS/Azure infrastructure standards for security, reliability, and cost.
• Write and maintain Terraform modules and environment state across accounts.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines and embed security checks (secret detection, SBOM, scans).
• Operate production Kubernetes platforms with Argo CD, Helm, and container tooling.
• Improve observability: metrics, logs, dashboards, alerts; lead incident response and root-cause analysis.
• Develop backup, resilience and disaster-recovery plans and run tests.
• Mentor engineers through pairing, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Bridge between engineering, security, product and business with practical direction.
