Job summary

Air Apps is seeking a DevOps Engineer Backend to design, automate, and maintain the infrastructure powering our backend systems. You will collaborate closely with developers in Lisbon, helping deploy reliable, scalable services in a fast-paced environment.

You will implement CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud infrastructure across AWS/Azure/GCP, and provide IaC solutions using Terraform, CloudFormation or Pulumi, while ensuring security and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI etc.).
• Experience with AWS, Azure or GCP and serverless computing.
• IaC: Terraform, CloudFormation or Pulumi.
• Docker/Kubernetes and Helm experience.
• Linux, networking, and security best practices.
• Scripting in Bash, Python or Go.
• Monitoring/logging with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Implement IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, and improve reliability.
• Enforce security best practices including IAM, logging and vulnerability mgmt.
• Collaborate with dev teams to improve deployment efficiency.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization for cost and scalability.
• Automate provisioning, configuration, and maintenance.
• Stay updated with new DevOps technologies and tools.
