Job summary

Air Apps in Lisbon seeks a DevOps Engineer Backend to design, automate, and maintain the infrastructure powering our backend systems. You will collaborate with developers and operations to deliver reliable services.

You will build scalable CI/CD pipelines, manage cloud resources across AWS/Azure/GCP, and implement IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi. This role requires hands-on expertise with Docker, Kubernetes, and security practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in DevOps, SRE, or Cloud Engineering.
• Strong CI/CD tooling experience (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, ArgoCD).
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and serverless computing.
• Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or Go for automation.
• Knowledge of Linux systems, networking, and security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for build, test, and deploy.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure across AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Apply IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi to provision resources.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, improve reliability.
• Enforce security best practices, including identity, logging, and vulnerability management.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment efficiency.
• Optimize cloud spend and ensure high availability.
• Automate provisioning, configuration management, and system maintenance.
• Stay updated with emerging DevOps tools and practices.
