Air Apps in Lisbon is seeking a DevOps Engineer (Backend) to design, automate, and maintain the infrastructure powering our backend systems. You’ll work closely with developers to streamline deployments and reliability.

The role emphasizes CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP), IaC, containers, monitoring, and security, with relocation support and a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You will stay current with DevOps best practices and contribute to cost optimization and scalability

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in DevOps/SRE/Cloud Engineering.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CircleCI, ArgoCD.
• Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP and serverless computing.
• Proficiency with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Hands-on with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm.
• Strong Linux, networking, and security basics.
• Scripting in Bash, Python, or Go.
• Experience with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog.
• Understanding of cost optimization, scalability, and high-availability.
• Strong problem-solving in an agile environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
• Manage and optimize cloud infrastructure on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, CloudFormation, or Pulumi.
• Deploy and manage containerized apps with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Monitor performance, identify bottlenecks, improve reliability.
• Enforce security best practices, including identity, logging, vulnerabilities.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve deployment efficiency.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization for cost-effectiveness and scalability.
• Automate provisioning, config management, maintenance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging DevOps technologies.
