NiCE is seeking a Senior Software Engineer focused on infrastructure automation. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for provisioning, configuration management, and operational processes across cloud and on-prem environments.

You will build programmatic infrastructure solutions using Python, Jinja2, and Terraform, and you’ll leverage Puppet and PowerShell to manage Linux, Windows, and hybrid setups.

Formación

• 5+ years of Python development experience — not scripting, but structured, testable application code.
• Strong understanding of Python packaging, virtual environments, dependency management, and code quality tooling.
• Experience building CLI tools and automation frameworks using Python (Click, Typer, or similar)
• Hands-on experience with Jinja2 templating — building reusable, parameterised templates for configuration and infrastructure code generation
• Experience with pytest for unit and integration testing of automation code

Responsabilidades

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Build programmatic infrastructure solutions using Python, Jinja2, and Terraform (IaC) at scale.
• Develop Puppet modules and Hiera configurations to manage Linux and Windows environments.
• Create PowerShell-based automation to support and optimize Windows environments.
• Develop internal automation tools, CLI utilities, and APIs to enable self-service operational tasks.
• Integrate automation frameworks with CI/CD pipelines for automated validation, testing, and deployment of infrastructure changes.
• Contribute to testing strategies including unit, linting, and integration testing for infrastructure code.
• Collaborate with cloud, platform, and application teams to eliminate manual processes and drive automation-first solutions.
