Job summary

NiCE is seeking a Senior software engineer in the UK who will design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks to streamline cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration management. You will build programmatic infrastructure solutions using Python, Jinja2, and Terraform, and leverage Puppet for configuration management.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of Python development using structured, testable application code.
• Experience building CLI tools and automation frameworks in Python (Click, Typer, or similar).
• Hands-on experience with Jinja2 templating for configuration and infrastructure code generation.
• Experience with pytest for unit and integration testing of automation code.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for cloud infrastructure provisioning and configuration management.
• Generate and manage IaC using Python, Jinja2, and Terraform across cloud and on‑prem environments.
• Develop Puppet modules, manifests, and Hiera configurations for Linux and Windows at scale.
