Job summary

Experis is seeking a Senior DevOps / Automation Engineer to drive a strategic automation and DevOps modernization programme across IBM Z and distributed platforms. You will design production-grade automation, CI/CD integration, compliance verification, observability pipelines and secure orchestration across a global estate.

Working across Python, PostgreSQL, GitHub and Jenkins pipelines, Ansible orchestration, secrets management and observability tooling, you will deliver resilient, auditable

Qualifications

Proficient Python development with robust error handling and tests.
Strong PostgreSQL design, performance tuning and operational use.
YAML-based automation with clean, structured definitions.
Git and CI/CD workflows, including pull requests and tagging.
Groovy scripting for Jenkins pipelines.
Experience with Ansible via Ansible Automation Platform.
Grafana dashboards and telemetry familiarity.
Artifact management with Nexus or equivalent.
Vault integration for secrets automation.

Responsibilities

Design and build robust automation using Python and YAML.
Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for production orchestration.
Ensure idempotent, restartable automation patterns.
Integrate automation across distributed and IBM Z platforms.
