Job summary

ARM is seeking a Senior DevOps / Automation Engineer to drive a strategic automation and DevOps modernisation programme across IBM Z and distributed platforms. You will design production-grade automation, CI/CD integrations, compliance verification, observability pipelines and secure orchestration across a global estate.

You will work with Python, PostgreSQL, Git-based workflows, Jenkins pipelines, Ansible orchestration, secrets management, artefact management and observability tooling to

Qualifications

• Strong Python production-quality development experience.
• Hands-on PostgreSQL schema design and performance tuning.
• Proficient in YAML-based automation definitions.
• Experience with Git-based CI/CD workflows.
• Groovy scripting for Jenkins pipelines.
• Experience with enterprise Ansible via AAP.
• Familiar with Grafana dashboards and observability tools.

Responsibilities

• Design and build robust automation using Python and YAML.
• Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for production orchestration.
• Ensure idempotent, restartable automation patterns.
• Integrate automation across distributed platforms and IBM Z where relevant.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines with GitHub and Jenkins; embed compliance checks.
• Design observability dashboards and telemetry pipelines.
• Design secure secrets handling and governance across tooling.
