JOB SUMMARY



Managing the successful procurement and delivery of large scale complex construction projects, focusing mainly on infrastructure works, with full responsibility for all technical matters, from inception to completion. Development managers must be able to demonstrate experience of managing external multi-disciplinary teams and liaising with third party stakeholders (utility companies and highway authorities) to successfully deliver projects to strict deadlines, within budget and to required quality standards. The Development Manager must possess relevant qualifications, with appropriate construction project experience. An appreciation of the planning process and wider issues and risks associated with the development process is also required.



Main Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Deliver Projects to agreed time, cost and quality parameters
• Appointing and leading external teams of consultants, contractors and specialists to ensure Prologis achieves its business goals.
• Managing project costs, budget and cashflow, and certifying related payments
• Carrying out site inspections and preparing written reports including programmes and cost plans, presenting them to senior stakeholders as required
• Managing and accessing customer change requests
• Agreeing contract variations and issuing change orders
• Attending site for regular meetings with contractors and customers, reporting progress to the internal team
• Supporting the Capital Deployment team in the acquisition of land, providing technical and commercial advice.
• Pre and Post construction activities, providing expert advice to colleagues at feasibility and proposal stage, including attendance at customer facing meetings.
• Supporting the property management team and customers to provide high quality aftercare post occupation.
• Manage project costs and reporting via cost management systems
• Support Prologis Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) initiatives
