Role SummaryYou will be responsible for driving creative excellence and delivering best-in-class, impactful, and culturally resonant design and art direction across Havas Play’s portfolio of clients.
As a Senior Designer, you’ll play a key role in an agency that helps brands get ahead at the intersection of entertainment, sport, technology, and fandom. You will set the creative standard, lead by example, and help shape the visual identity of some of the most exciting and forward-thinking campaigns in the industry.
Purpose of RoleAs a senior member of the design team, you will lead the development of innovative, insight-driven creative work across a wide range of formats—from print and social to OOH and experiential branding. You’ll collaborate with Creative Directors, ACDs, copywriters, strategists, and client teams to bring bold ideas to life, owning projects from concept to execution.
You will be responsible for mentoring and guiding midweight and junior team members, sharing your expertise and maintaining a high bar for design craft and strategic thinking. Your work will not only meet the brief—it will elevate it.
You’ll be a proactive contributor, a visual storyteller, and a go-to authority on design excellence within the agency.
Key ResponsibilitiesCreative Leadership & Quality
Lead the visual direction of projects, ensuring strategic and creative alignment with client objectives.
Produce and oversee exceptional design work that pushes boundaries and meets the highest creative standards.
Confidently present work to senior internal stakeholders and clients, articulating the strategic and design rationale.
Collaborate with creative and client teams to evolve concepts into compelling, production-ready solutions.
Inspire and challenge the creative team by championing bold, forward-thinking ideas.
Mentorship & Team Development
Act as a mentor and creative guide for Midweight and Junior Designers, offering clear feedback and fostering their development.
Ensure team members are fully briefed, aligned with project goals, and delivering work that meets your exacting standards.
Help shape a collaborative, high-performing creative culture within the agency.
Technical Excellence
Demonstrate expert-level skills across multiple formats—digital, print, social, experiential, and more.
Ensure pixel-perfect execution and flawless delivery across all creative outputs.
Maintain deep expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and be enthusiastic about new creative tools and AI technologies that can enhance design workflows.
Proactive Contribution
Take initiative to identify creative opportunities that go beyond client briefs, adding value and originality to the agency’s work.
Help shape the future of Havas Play’s visual output by bringing fresh perspectives, cultural insight, and a high design IQ to every project.
