Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead the design delivery of water sector work packages, coordinating multidisciplinary teams to meet programme and budget targets. The role emphasizes compliance with CDM, HSE and client standards, and maintaining strong client relationships.

You will manage design information flow, support planning, procurement, reporting and stakeholder engagement, while overseeing forecasts, costs and resource allocation. Hybrid working is offered.

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, Project Management or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards chartership with ICE/IMeche/eq.
• Project or programme management qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design delivery of water sector work packages within time, budget and quality targets.
• Coordinate resources and manage design information across multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in planning, procurement, reporting, tender preparation and stakeholder engagement.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation including CDM.
• Provide clear reporting on programme progress, resource needs and budget status to the Project Manager.
