Job summary

SYSTRA UK & Ireland is seeking a Senior Design Manager to lead water sector design packages, ensuring on‑time, on‑budget delivery and high quality outcomes. You will steer multidisciplinary teams, manage client relationships and drive compliant project controls across design and delivery stages.

Qualifications

• Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Water Engineering, or related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer status (CEng) or working towards chartership with ICE/IMeche or equivalent.
• A project or programme management qualification would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead design delivery of allocated water sector work packages to meet time, budget and quality targets.
• Apply robust project controls and monitor progress against programme and budget.
• Coordinate resources and flow of design information across multidisciplinary teams.
• Support planning, procurement, reporting, tender preparation and stakeholder engagement.
• Maintain effective financial controls and provide clear reporting on performance.
