Job summary

The Company is seeking an experienced Design Manager to support delivery of projects across the South East. You will coordinate the design process from pre-construction through to project completion, managing consultants and design information across disciplines.

The role requires knowledge of UK building regulations, experience coordinating consultants, and familiarity with BIM. A degree or HNC/HND in Construction, Architecture or Engineering is preferred, with CSCS qualification advantageous.

Qualifications

• A degree or HNC/HND in Construction, Architecture, Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and construction methods.
• Previous experience coordinating consultants and subcontractor design.
• Experience working with design programmes and technical information.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Knowledge of BIM processes would be beneficial.
• CSCS and relevant construction qualifications would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Managing consultants, architects and specialist designers.
• Coordinating design information across multiple disciplines.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and technical submissions.
• Managing design programmes and ensuring information is issued on time.
• Identifying design risks and resolving technical issues.
• Working closely with project managers, commercial teams and site teams.
• Attending design team meetings and liaising with clients and consultants.
• Ensuring designs comply with building regulations, specifications and project requirements.
