Senior Design Manager- Central London

Our client, a leading High-End Fit Out Main Contractor, with a turnover of £100 million, is looking for an experienced Senior Design Manager to join their growing team in Central London. As a Senior Design Manager, you will lead the design process for large-scale projects that involves managing design teams, coordinating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that all design aspects meet project requirements, quality standards, and deadlines.

Key Responsibilities & Requirements:

1. Manage and oversee the entire design process, from concept to final delivery, ensuring designs meet technical, functional, and aesthetic requirements.

2. Lead the development of project design strategies, goals, and objectives.

3. Collaborate with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory agencies to ensure that design plans meet project requirements and comply with relevant codes and standards.

4. Verify and approve design documents, specifications, and technical drawings to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.

5. Interpret project milestones, deliverables, and critical paths to track project timelines and development.

6. Develop accurate schedules to ensure logical, compliant and project specific programs.

7. Responsible for quality assurance processes and procedures to maintain the integrity and consistency of design deliverables.

8. Lead the design reviews, audits, and inspections to identify and address any design-related issues and present reliable solutions.

9. Degree in Engineering/ Construction Management or related field.

10. Good understanding of safe application of building standards and guidelines.

11. 5+ years of accomplishments as Senior Design Management specialist with significant background with main contractor, traditional and modern methods of construction, and fit out projects.

12. Proficiency in CAD, Revit & digital planning software & tools.

13. Remarkable attention to detail, leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
