Job summary

JCB World Headquarters is seeking a Senior Design Engineer to join our New Product Engineering Team. You will drive design from concept to prototype and full production for Mid-Range programmes, ensuring performance, quality, cost and timing targets are met.

You will collaborate with suppliers and internal teams, deliver CAD models and drawings, and lead validation and testing plans across the product development lifecycle, contributing to robust product performance and continuous improvements.

Qualifications

• 4+ years' experience in a design or product engineering role.
• Proficient in CAD modelling and drawing creation to recognised standards.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (preferred).
• Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop new component and system designs from concept through to production release.
• Produce detailed CAD models and engineering drawings per JCB standards.
• Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
• Create and maintain component logs, technical review docs and records.
• Review supplier designs, drawings and specifications for compliance with JCB requirements.
• Prepare and present technical data, project updates, cost estimates and timing plans.
• Develop and manage validation, testing and development plans for product performance.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing teams and development engineers across the lifecycle.
• Support prototype builds, endurance testing and production line trials.
• Manage engineering activities in line with NPI processes and milestones.
• Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in design, processes and product performance.
