Job summary

JCB is seeking a Development Engineer in its Mid-Level Talent Pool to help develop, validate and optimise machine systems. You will work across hydraulic architectures, electrified systems and software controls, contributing to performance, durability and customer value.

The role supports multiple opportunities, requiring a practical engineering approach and strong problem-solving skills. UK-based permanent position with full-time hours and a focus on delivering high-quality engineering outcomes.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Automotive, Agricultural, Mechatronics or related.Minimum 2 years in product development, validation or test environments.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills; problem solving.
• Hands-on with machinery and office work experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and validation activities to ensure performance, durability and value.
• Create and deliver test/validation plans aligned to programmes.
• Support prototype development and evaluate machine performance in real-world environments.
• Analyze test results to improve robustness, quality and reliability.
• Collaborate with design and product engineering teams to enhance machine performance.
