Job summary

JCB World Headquarters in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior Engineer to join the New Product Engineering Team. You will drive design concepts from concept through prototype to production, delivering high-quality engineering solutions aligned with cost and timing targets.

The role involves collaborating with suppliers, internal teams and manufacturing to introduce new products under the NPI process, with a focus on robust product performance and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

4+ years experience in design or product engineering.
Proficient in CAD modelling and drawing creation to recognised standards.
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in cross-functional teams and liaising with suppliers.
Excellent communicator across all levels of the business.
Organised, proactive and able to manage multiple projects.
Positive, can-do attitude in a fast-paced environment.
Passionate about delivering innovative engineering solutions from concept to production.

Responsibilities

Develop new component and system designs from concept to production release.
Produce detailed CAD models and drawings to JCB standards.
Perform engineering calculations and analyses to support design decisions.
Review supplier designs, drawings and specifications for compliance.
Develop validation, testing and development plans for robust product performance.
Support prototype builds and production line trials.
