Job summary

The Witherslack Group is seeking a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead to join a school setting. You will support safeguarding duties, liaise with agencies, parents and staff, and work with the DSL and leadership team to ensure children’s wellbeing is protected on a daily basis.

Candidates should have at least 2 years in a Deputy DSL role, a CPD portfolio in safeguarding, and a full UK driving licence. IT skills and empathy are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead experience in a school setting.
• Comprehensive CPD portfolio in Safeguarding and Child Protection.
• Experience with Microsoft Office and IT systems is valuable.

Responsibilities

• Support the Designated Safeguarding Lead to safeguard children within the school.
• Liaise with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents, carers and staff on wellbeing and safeguarding matters.
• Work with the wider school team and operate with initiative.
