Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking an experienced Designated Safeguarding Lead to oversee safeguarding in a SEMH primary school. You will liaise with statutory and non-statutory agencies, parents and staff, providing trusted guidance on wellbeing and child protection.

Essentially, you will support a dedicated team to deliver a safe, nurturing environment, applying CPD in safeguarding and promoting best outcomes for children.

Qualifications

  • At least 3 years' experience in a Designated Safeguarding Lead role.
  • Portfolio of CPD related to Safeguarding and Child Protection.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and problem resolution skills.
  • Fully UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead safeguarding within the school and liaise with agencies.
  • Provide advice and support to staff, parents and carers.
  • Ensure child protection and wellbeing are comprehensively met.
