Job summary

Witherslack Group is seeking a Designated Safeguarding Lead to join our leadership team within a new school project. You will coordinate safeguarding across staff, pupils and external agencies, ensuring wellbeing and protection standards are met.

A strong CPD portfolio and UK driving licence are essential for this pivotal role. As a DSG, you will collaborate with in-house clinical teams and other WG colleagues, driving best practices in safeguarding and child protection to deliver outstanding

Qualifications

• Comprehensive CPD portfolio related to safeguarding and child protection.
• Experience as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSG) or similar role.

Responsibilities

• Lead safeguarding within the school and liaise with statutory/non-statutory agencies.
• Support wellbeing and advise staff and parents/carers on safeguarding matters.
• Provide expert safeguarding guidance to the team and contribute to policy development.
