Job summary

Silver Lodge Care Home, part of Willinbrook Healthcare within Care Concern Group, is seeking a Senior Care Assistant for dayshift coverage. The role focuses on delivering high-quality, person-centered dementia care and coordinating with the wider team to ensure safe, consistent care.

You will oversee medication, monitor residents’ wellbeing, and support colleagues while maintaining detailed records and effective communication with families and healthcare professionals.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (minimum)
• Medication administration training with competency
• Experience supporting or leading a care team within a care environment
• Confidence supporting individuals with complex needs, including mental health or behavioural support
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• A calm, patient and professional approach

Responsibilities

• Deliver high quality, person-centred care for individuals with complex needs
• Oversee medication administration and ensure safe practice
• Monitor residents' physical and emotional wellbeing and respond to changes
• Support and guide Care Assistants to maintain a calm, stable environment
• Follow and review care plans and maintain accurate records
• Communicate effectively with families and healthcare professionals
