Job summary

Care Concern Group is seeking a Senior Care Assistant to lead shifts within our Willinbrook Healthcare suite. You will support residents with complex health needs, including dementia, ensuring safe, person-centred care and timely documentation of care plans and records.

You will guide Care Assistants, liaise with nurses, and help maintain a calm, supportive environment while promoting best practice and high standards of care.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care is essential, or you must be actively working towards it.
• Experience as aSenior Care Assistant or experienced Care Assistant within a care home or complex care setting.
• Practical medication administration training and competencies.
• Confident leading shifts and supporting care teams.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• A compassionate and respectful approach to person centred care.

Responsibilities

• Lead shifts and coordinate the care team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care.
• Support residents with personal care, mobility, nutrition and daily routines while prioritising dignity and wellbeing.
• Assist with completing care plans, risk assessments and daily records.
• Monitor residents’ wellbeing, report changes to the clinical team and respond to emergencies or incidents.
• Help establish routines and promote best practice to create a safe, therapeutic environment.
