Job summary

Slaughter and May seeks a Project Manager to lead delivery of business and technology change initiatives, owning projects from discovery through delivery to operations. You will coordinate with technology teams, business stakeholders, and third-party partners to ensure cohesive, timely outcomes.

This hands-on role requires establishing clear plans, controlling scope, schedule, budget and quality, and applying governance and delivery practices to guide projects to successful completion.

Qualifications

• 10+ years’ experience delivering complex, multi-disciplinary technology programmes within multi-vendor environments.
• Experience managing in-flight or transition-stage projects and re-establishing structure where needed.
• Proven ability to manage delivery across internal technology teams and outsourced partners.
• Experience with agile, hybrid, and traditional delivery methodologies.
• Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to translate complex issues into actionable information.
• Familiarity with collaboration tools, productivity suites, and resilience solutions.
• Project/Programme Management certifications desirable (MSP, PMP, PRINCE2).

Responsibilities

• Review the current health of assigned projects, including progress, risks, dependencies, and readiness.
• Refine and re-baseline plans, budgets, schedules, and deliverables with stakeholders.
• Lead project meetings and provide clear direction and momentum.
• Own end-to-end delivery for assigned projects, ensuring scope, timescales, budget and quality expectations are met.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects and competing priorities; sequence trade-offs with sponsors.
• Operate at strategic and detailed levels, resolving operational issues as they arise.
• Engage with technical teams, business functions, and third-party vendors to address challenges.
• Maintain RAID logs and ensure timely escalation of material risks.
• Implement governance and risk controls in line with programme standards.
