Job summary

Morson Group is seeking a Senior Cost Modelling Consultant to support the DWSP bid. The role involves building and maintaining a transparent cost model for a £2.5 billion MoD contract, coordinating inputs from operations, commercial and central services to ensure robust pricing strategies.

You will own the model, perform risk analyses and produce cost schedules and narratives to inform senior decision makers.

Qualifications

Proven experience developing cost models for major bids.
Strong financial modelling capability.
Excellent analytical and numerical skills.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain the DWSP bid cost model across all workstreams.
Translate scope, assumptions and delivery plans into accurate cost estimates.
Integrate inputs from operational, commercial and central service teams.
Develop OPEX, CAPEX and whole-life cost models where required.
Incorporate risk, contingency and optimism bias in line with bid strategy.
Carry out sensitivity analysis, scenario modelling and option comparisons.
Support value engineering to improve cost efficiency and affordability.
Ensure the model reflects target pricing, contractual mechanisms and commercial strategy.
Prepare cost schedules, pricing submission templates and supporting bid narratives.
Maintain model integrity through revisions and clarifications.
Produce management summaries and support governance and final submission.
