Zusammenfassung

Experis UK is urgently seeking an experienced Cost Modeler for a 12-month contract to develop and maintain detailed cost models for defence programmes. You will produce WLC, TLC and CBA assessments, and support SOC/OBC/FBC development with rigorous affordability analyses.

The role requires extensive defence cost modelling experience, strong estimation methodologies, and DV clearance. You will interact with MoD stakeholders and collaborate across engineering, finance, and commercial teams to

• Extensive experience developing and maintaining complex cost models in Defence or Government.

Aufgaben

• Develop and maintain detailed cost models for defence programmes, systems and services.
• Produce Whole Life Cost (WLC), Through Life Cost (TLC) and Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) assessments.
• Support the development of SOC, OBC and FBC.
• Undertake affordability assessments, investment appraisals and option evaluations.
• Analyse cost drivers, assumptions, risks and uncertainties impacting programme delivery.
• Conduct sensitivity analysis, scenario modelling and Monte Carlo simulations.
• Develop estimating methodologies using parametric, analogous and bottom-up costing techniques.
• Support procurement and commercial activities by providing cost assurance and independent cost estimates.
• Present cost model outputs and recommendations to senior MoD stakeholders and programme leadership.
• Work collaboratively with engineering, finance, project controls and commercial teams to ensure cost models are aligned with programme baselines.
• Ensure compliance with MoD, HM Treasury Green Book and defence acquisition best practice.
• Contribute to cost estimating standards, processes and continuous improvement initiatives.

In order to be successful, you will have the following experience:

• Highly experienced in developing and maintaining complex cost models within Defence or Government
• Strong understanding of cost estimating methodologies and cost modelling principles.
• Experience supporting major programmes, business cases or complex procurement activities
• DV Clearance is essential

Within this role, you will be responsible for:

• Develop and maintain detailed cost models for defence programmes, systems and services
• Produce Whole Life Cost (WLC), Through Life Cost (TLC) and Cost Benefit Analysis (CBA) assessments
• Support the development of Strategic Outline Cases (SOC), Outline Business Cases (OBC) and Full Business Cases (FBC)
• Undertake affordability assessments, investment appraisals and option evaluations
• Analyse cost drivers, assumptions, risks and uncertainties impacting programme delivery
• Conduct sensitivity analysis, scenario modelling and Monte Carlo simulations where appropriate
• Develop estimating methodologies using parametric, analogous and bottom-up costing techniques
