Job summary

Arcadis is expanding its UK defence cost management capability. As Senior Cost Manager, you will oversee cost management on small to medium defence and infrastructure developments, ensuring delivery within budget and schedule, and applying rigorous controls.

You will mentor junior staff, collaborate with external stakeholders, and provide advice on risk, compliance, and cost governance. The role requires strong analytical skills and a track record of delivering major project cost outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering cost management on complex projects (£5m–£150m).
• Coaching and mentoring junior staff and emerging leadership.
• Proven ability to manage external stakeholders and client relationships.
• Capable of taking a project through from inception to completion.
• Ability to obtain BPSS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching and development of team members to improve service delivery.
• Work within financial systems to produce reports, forecasts, and budgets.
• Deliver small to medium cost projects or significant components within deadlines.
• Provide advice on risk, compliance and Arcadis processes.
• Present project risks or issues to senior managers.
• Analyse data to inform cost and commercial decisions.
• Share knowledge to improve processes and drive innovation.
