Job summary

Arcadis is expanding its UK defence cost management capability. We are seeking a Senior Cost Manager to lead delivery of cost management across small to medium developments or components of larger programmes.

You will coach team members, manage budgets and reports, and provide strategic advice on risk and compliance while engaging with external stakeholders. You will bring leadership, strong cost control, and a track record in defence or secure sectors, with the ability to obtain BPSS clearance.

Qualifications

• Experience leading cost management on multi-million pound projects (£5m–£150m).
• Coaching and mentoring junior staff.
• Experience with external stakeholders and client relationships at middle-management level.
• Ability to obtain BPSS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching and development of team members to raise service delivery standards.
• Work within financial systems and budgets to produce reports and forecasts and track budgets.
• Deliver small–medium cost projects or significant components of larger assignments within deadlines and budgets.
• Provide advice on risk management, compliance and associated behaviours; adhere to risk and compliance processes.
• Present project risks to senior managers to avoid adverse impact on projects.
• Analyse data to extract themes and provide recommendations to support cost and commercial decisions.
• Research industry best practices to improve processes and policies.
• Share knowledge to support service improvement and innovation.
