Job summary

Stantec is seeking a DCO Planner at Senior/Principal/Associate level to join its UK Infrastructure team. You will lead planning and consenting workstreams for major projects and help shape delivery across water, energy and transport sectors.

You will provide strategy advice on DCO, TCPA and DNS, mentor colleagues, and collaborate with clients and stakeholders to deliver robust programmes.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering planning and consenting for major infrastructure projects.
• Strong understanding of Development Consent Orders (DCO).
• Academic/professional qualification in Planning or Environment, with commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate planning and consenting workstreams for major infrastructure.
• Provide planning and EIA strategy advice across consenting regimes (DCO, TCPA, DNS).
• Progress schemes through development, advising on methodologies and assessments.
• Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams to shape deliverable programmes.
• Spot risks early, maintain momentum, and help teams deliver quality outcomes.
• Support and mentor colleagues within a collaborative team.
