Qualifications

• 8 to 15+ years of IBM Mainframe Systems Programming with a strong DB2 for z/OS focus.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise DB2 environments with multiple subsystems.
• Strong DB2 installation, migration, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in Banking/Financial Services or other mission-critical environments preferred.
• Hands-on experience with OLTP environments using CICS and DB2.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain DB2 for z/OS environments.
• Support a large-scale DB2 infrastructure with multiple subsystems.
• Plan DB2 upgrades, migrations, and maintenance activities.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for DB2-based applications.
• Ensure DB2 availability, integrity, and performance across regions.
• Manage DDF connectivity and distributed DB2 access.
• Maintain OLTP performance with CICS and DB2 optimization.
• Monitor performance and implement tuning recommendations.
• Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and DR procedures.
• Ensure storage, archiving, and retention compliance.
• Implement database security controls and access governance.
• Collaborate with application teams on design and problem resolution.
• Maintain documentation and operational procedures.
