Job summary

NTT DATA is seeking an experienced DB2 for z/OS Systems Programmer to join our DB2 Support Team on a hybrid model in the UK. You will lead and support a large DB2 estate, ensure availability, security, and performance, and collaborate with applications, infrastructure, and security teams.

The role demands deep DB2 for z/OS expertise, hands-on troubleshooting, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a production environment across regions, platforms, and geographies.

Qualifications

• 8–15+ years in IBM Mainframe Systems Programming focused on DB2 for z/OS administration.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise DB2 environments with multiple subsystems.
• Strong DB2 installation, migration, maintenance, tuning and troubleshooting skills.
• Experience in Banking/Financial Services or mission-critical environments is preferred.
• Hands-on with high-volume OLTP using CICS and DB2; ability to operate in a production setting.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade and maintain DB2 for z/OS environments.
• Support a large enterprise DB2 infrastructure with multiple subsystems.
• Plan and execute DB2 version upgrades and migrations.
• Provide Level 2/3 support for DB2-based applications.
• Ensure DB2 availability, integrity, performance and security.
• Manage DDF and distributed connectivity; optimize OLTP performance with CICS/DB2.
