Job summary

Santander UK is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead customer-facing AI solutions across contact centres, chat and digitally assisted channels from Milton Keynes. You will own the UK SanTalk product vision, roadmap and end-to-end delivery, guiding multidisciplinary teams across Santander UK and Group partners in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

The role requires strong leadership, product management experience, and deep knowledge of AI, NLP, and customer journeys.

Qualifications

• 6-8 years of experience in data science, applied AI or advanced analytics.
• Experience owning a digital, data or AI product through its full lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Act as UK Product Owner for SanTalk, setting vision and backlog.
• Translate business priorities into prioritised AI use cases and requirements.
• Lead end-to-end delivery, UK rollout and ongoing operation of SanTalk solutions.
• Provide technical direction to Data Scientists, Engineers and MLOps.
• Define success measures and optimize value through monitoring and experiments.
