Credit Technologies is seeking a hands-on Lead Product Manager, AI. To take clear ownership of our AI product capabilities and conversational customer experiences. In this role, you will bridge customer needs, financial domain expertise, and generative AI technology to create personalized, conversational customer journeys across our market-leading products, Credit Angel and MoneyGuru.

While technical architecture and machine learning engineering remain with the CTO and data engineering team, this role owns the end-to-end AI product vision, discovery, roadmap, user experience, and outcomes.

Credit Technologies is a UK fintech focused on improving access to credit and financial inclusion with AI. We build AI first consumer brands that help customers understand and improve their credit profile, find loans, credit cards and other financial products.

We are entering an exciting growth phase as we launch Credit Angel, our next-generation credit score and report app, and MoneyGuru, an AI-native personal finance assistant.

The role

As AI Product Lead, you will work alongside the Managing Director, and CTO to shape and deliver our AI products. You will lead discovery, define functional and behavioral requirements for AI features, and act as the principal product partner to the engineering and product and data team. In short you will be responsible for making sure our conversational AI delights customers and delivers incredible outcomes.

This role suits a hands-on product manager with experience in consumer credit reporting, credit eligibility and conversational AI journeys who thrives in small lean teams that deliver and ship every day.

AI Product Strategy & Roadmap

• Own the product vision and roadmap for customer-facing AI interactions, conversational journeys, and insights across MoneyGuru and Credit Angel.
• Translate complex financial data and customer intent into intuitive, personalized AI interaction patterns.
• Identify growth opportunities where generative AI and automation can enhance customer understanding, conversion, and retention.

Cross-Functional AI & Engineering Alignment

• Act as the primary product partner to the CTO and engineering team for all AI and ML initiatives.
• Define detailed product requirements, user scenarios, and functional specifications for AI components.
• Ensure product discovery and validation take place before committing engineering resource.

AI Quality, Controls & Experience Design

• Define product quality standards, evaluation benchmarks, and safety guardrails for AI outputs to ensure accuracy, transparency, and trust.
• Establish processes for monitoring model performance, response quality, hallucination prevention, and fallback handling.
• Ensure all AI journeys align with regulatory requirements, data sensitivity rules, and FCA Consumer Duty guidelines.

Delivery & Continuous Optimisation

• Monitor product performance metrics, user engagement, conversion funnels, and customer feedback to refine AI features.
• Manage innovation, speed-to-market, regulatory compliance, and system reliability.

Essential Requirement

• Experience in consumer credit, fintech, financial marketplaces, lending, or credit scoring products.
• Familiarity with Open Banking, credit data APIs, soft-search, and eligibility decisioning.
• Experience in digital product management, with experience of generative & conversational AI journeys in consumer.
• Solid practical understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs)
• Track record B2C digital products using data-driven discovery and measurable outcomes.
• Experience collaborating with engineering, data science, or ML teams to define clear product priorities.
• Strong commercial judgement with a focus on user engagement, conversion, and retention.
• Experience operating in a regulated, data-sensitive, or high-governance environment.
• Experience leading a product workstream and small team

Desirable

• Experience in retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), prompt strategies, evaluation frameworks, and failure modes.
• Understanding of FCA guidelines and Consumer Duty requirements regarding automated or AI-assisted customer communication.
• Experience in a small and fast moving entrepreneurial business.
