Job summary

Cloudflare is seeking a senior Data Scientist to build scalable AI/ML models and GenAI-powered backends. You will partner with data and full-stack engineers to deliver features, operate pipelines, and transform complex datasets into business-critical insights.

You will define macro/micro trends, publish insights at scale, and mentor a growing data science team in a globally distributed environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with Spark, SQL, Tableau, Google Analytics, BigQuery or cloud equivalent.
• 5+ years of data scientist experience in a large-scale, globally distributed environment.
• Capable of collaborating with business, engineering, and product teams to align data initiatives with business needs.
• Proven track record of applying data insights and machine learning to drive business outcomes.
• Strong communication and presentation skills tailored to different audiences.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, reliable AI/ML models, services and GenAI-powered backends.
• Partner with data and full-stack engineers to deliver new features and operate pipelines.
• Publish model scores, insights and learnings at scale across the company.
• Define macro and micro trend signals with statistical significance.
• Actively participate in hiring, mentoring, and growing the data science team.
