Job summary

CrowdStrike Holdings, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Data Scientist Lead for a remote role across the UK, Ireland, Spain or Romania.

You will lead a team of data scientists at the intersection of machine learning, big data, and security, guiding strategy and delivery of AI-powered threat detection solutions. You will mentor the team, define technical standards, and drive ML initiatives from research to production while collaborating with security experts and product teams.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM field (or BSc with equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of data science and ML experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Proven track record of ML projects from research to production deployment.
• Strong cybersecurity concepts and security operations knowledge.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with ML frameworks and big data tech.
• Experience mentoring and developing data scientists and ML engineers.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of 3 data scientists, providing technical guidance and performance management.
• Define and drive technical strategy for ML initiatives in threat detection and agentic AI for security.
• Lead ML projects from research through production deployment with measurable impact.
• Plan roadmaps, balancing research with production ML delivery.
• Collaborate with security research, engineering, and product teams to align ML with business goals.
• Identify high-impact opportunities where ML can enhance threat detection and response.
• Communicate ML insights to stakeholders across the organization.
• Contribute to hands-on ML work when needed to maintain expertise.
